1st ever family vacation!

Last week was our very first family vacation with my parents, sister, and Josh. We had a very nice time! We went up north to our friends' house on his private property, then the rest of the week was spent in Silver Lake.
Be prepared for a VERY LONG BLOG!!! Even longer than Tisha's.

Chris spent 3/4 of his time in the river fishing! He has the best times when he is outside. The woods and the river are definitely his element!
Nathan and Josh enjoyed blowing up targets.

Tisha with her camera ready for that perfect shot! The children probably felt like they were surrounded by paparazzi all week between the two of us constantly shooting pictures.
We enjoyed several trips down the river. The boys went down a couple of times in the canoe and loved it!! Chris, Josh, and I went down in kayaks. Tish and I went down the river in tubes. That was hilarious! I think I spent more of my time falling in the river off my tube than on my tube! We laughed so hard!

Our first night in Silver Lake, we drove to Pentwater to have dinner on the water. (Dad's favorite)
After dinner, we enjoyed a night stroll through town and enjoyed a local folk band playing in the park while the children played.

Cole, Mason, and I got painted. There was a group trying to raise money to go to Spain, so we helped them out a bit.


You can't go on vacation without doing some swimming!

This was one of my favorite things from our trip! The dune rides!!!!!!





After the dune ride, we went over to this lighthouse. Chris, Dad, Cole, Nathan, and Me climbed to the top of the lighthouse and stood out on the ledge overlooking Lake Michigan.




Josh had the pleasure of sharing his hotel room with my boys. :) This is how they woke him up.
Cole and Mason's first horse back riding experience! They absolutely loved it!!!!

We rented Mopeds for an hour and rode around Silver Lake. It was a blast!!!! I had so much fun!!!!
Go Carts!!!!!! We did A LOT of go carting because both the boys were able to ride with us.


We found a junior go cart track the day we left and Cole had a few rides.

On our way home, we stopped at the Lewis Market and Petting Farm. A FREE petting farm for the kids!! It was so nice!!!

Josh and his three nephews rode the Booberry Express at the petting farm.
We made a lot of memories last week. Thank you to my family for a wonderful trip! We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! We love you!
