my name is what?

ok. so my new addiction is scrabble.
maybe it's because i've been playing literati online,
which is just like scrabble,
or maybe it's because the last two times
i played scrabble i won!
i love the game now and i think linda has
found her new match. :)




yesterday, i played scrabble with
linda, tricia, and paulette.
tricia placed the word "stove" down.
a few seconds later as i was looking at the board
for a good spot for my word,
i just happened to mention casually to her,
"you should take the 'o' out of 'stove' and put a 'u' instead",
and then i think i smiled and winked at her or something.
she kind of looked at me for a minute.
(i don't think she caught on right away)
linda laughed and said,
"that word isn't in the dictionary though".
i said, "yeah i know, but it's a good word".
then i looked at paulette who was staring at the word.
she then proceeded to say,
"what's 'stuve'?" (she pronounced it 'stoov')
immediately, linda and i busted out laughing!
i replied, "uh, your last name?!!!!"
"OH!" she said, and then
she then began to laugh too!
later on she was trying to spell a word,
which she had wrong, surprise-surprise :)
and linda said to her,
"paulette, don't you know how to spell?"
i couldn't resist, so i said,
"No! she doesn't know how to spell!
she can't even spell her last name!!!"
i don't know about some people.........
