The Birthday Party

The reason for our trip was the big birthday party.
2 nephews and a niece all born in April. Whew!
The games are what the kids look forward to the most.
The first game was for Grant. Candyland. Human size.
(Side note: Kelly is the best for coming up with game and
party ideas! She is so creative! End side note.)
She laid out colored construction paper on their (almost finished)
basement floor. She read a color out loud and the kids all took
turns going to their colors. Along the path, there was candy on
different colors. If you landed on that color, you got the candy!








Poor Cole. He was a trooper.
It just so happened that every time it was his turn,
the color that he was supposed to go to was right
in front of him. He moved one (maybe two at times)
colors at a time all the way to the end.
Obviously, he came in last and didn't win any candy. :(

The second game was for Haley. It was the Littlest Pet Shop game.
The kids were handed a picture of either the head or body of
an animal. They were supposed to find the matching part to
their picture. Whoever found theirs first, won.
Mason came in 3rd. :)



A party isn't a party without a pinata!
All the kids held onto their string and pulled
at the same time to break it open.
The first time didn't work.
They got it on the second try and
scrambled around on the ground to fill their
brown paper bags with candy.
