perfect day for a game

finally we had a perfect day for a tee ball game!
it started out cloudy and rainy in the morning.
we were crossing our fingers and telling
the rain to go away and come back another day.
cole wanted to play outside so bad!
and i wanted him to too so i could use my
zoom lens to see how good it would work. :)
we tried to chase the rain drops away as we
drove to his tee ball game.
they sprinkled our windows and i could
tell that cole was just as disappointed as
i was for him. another inside practice.
much to our surprise, as soon as we showed up,
the clouds parted, the rain stopped, and
the sun came out to greet our smiling faces!
it was PERFECT!

























one other thing that made the day perfect
was that my uncle terry was in town
for josh's open house.
i hadn't seen him in about 5 years!
it was so nice to have him there.











cole had to make sure he slid into home plate. :)







the above picture cracks me up every time
i look at it.
cole is apparently upset about something,
but i can't remember what it was.
i think it was that some kid took the ball from him
when he tried to catch it on the ground. :)
of course, you had to be real quick and tough
and mean in this group if you wanted to be the
one to catch the ball and throw it where
it needed to be.
all the kids would run around and chase the ball.
they looked like a swarm of bees!
it was hilarious!
kids that were on 3rd base would run all
the way over to 1st base with the other
15 kids to try to catch the ball that was
already being tackled by those 15 other kids.









this was the best part of the game
these two little boys didn't even care what was going on.
they sat there forever and played in the dirt
and dug holes! it was so funny!
right after i took this shot, the ball
was hit and it went right in between the two boys!
they looked up at the other kids and had these
expressions on their faces like,
"hey! you're messing up our digging!"
it was so funny!
i'm just glad that it wasn't cole. :)
