since cole started school, we haven't really got to do anything the both the boys just as a family. so, we decided on putt putt.
at dinner, chris told the boys that i had a surprise for them, but they had to eat their dinner all gone. they were so excited. cole kept talking like i had bought them something. mason was just excited. he didn't know what was going on. i wasn't sure if they were going to get their surprise or not because broccoli was sitting on their plates. they don't like broccoli just like every other kid in the world. but their daddy is so smart. he picked up his broccoli with his hands and he pretended he was a giant walking through the forest and he was hungry, so he ate the little trees in the forest. :) how cute is that?! he shoved the broccoli into his mouth and made the loud-giant-eating noises. mason thought it was so funny. he picked up his broccoli and threw it in his mouth and pretended he was a giant too. we watched silently to see if it would really work and he would eat his broccoli. he made a face after about the 2nd chew. then he quickly finished it and shouted, "yeah! i did it!" he was so proud of himself. so, i picked up my broccoli and did the same thing with him so he would finish the rest of his broccoli. and he did! cole was smarter than his brother. he knew what we were trying to do, but he wanted his surprise, so he ate his broccoli. just barely, but he ate it. :)
so, off to putt putt we went.
it seemed like every hole had some kind of water hazard to get over. and the boys hit their balls into the water every time! mason liked to clean his off because it would get dirty. :)
it's just a cheap, old putt putt gold course, but it did have some pretty scenery and things. and the boys had fun, so that's all that matters.
oh yeah, one little bitty thing - i beat chris at putt putt golf, too! :) hehe
