and a personality to boot!

have i ever mentioned how cute mason is?
i think i have maybe once or twice.
both my boys are the cutest ever.
sorry. they are.
but mason.......
mason has a personality to go along with it.
sometimes he says the funniest things
and you wonder "where did that come from?"

example #1:
last night he only wanted to eat a few bites of his dinner
and be done because cole was done already and he wanted to go play.
i told him he had to sit at the table
and eat until i said he was done and could get down.
as i stood at the kitchen sink, washing dishes,
this is what i heard from the dining room,
"say it, mom. say it. c'mon. you can say it now."
he, of course, was referring to me telling
him he could get down and be done with his food.
i just kept washing the dishes as my shoulders
shook with laughter listening to him.

example #2:
today chris had to caulk the bath tub.
he was almost finished and making a few touch ups
here and there, when mason walked in, walked over to the tub,
peered inside and said, "looks pretty good!"
chris and i stopped, looked at eachother,
and chris said, "did he just say what i thought he said?"
i laughed and shook my head yes.

example #3:
we are working on potty training.
well, mason doesn't always tell me on his own that he has to go.
i have to try to diligently take him every 30-60 minutes.
most of the time when i take him, he will be sitting there,
his face will light up and he gets a big smile on his face.
he looks at me and says, "i went! i went!"
so i get all excited and start clapping my hands.
i reach out to grab him off the toilet seat
and he stops me. he gets a serious look on his face and says,
"i didn't go." .....
and then there are sometimes when i go to take him off the seat
and he stops me, holds up two fingers and says,
"no. i not done. i got two more pee's."
it's so cute.
i should write a book of all the funny things my kids say and do.
it would be a best seller.
