they had a neat little spot in the children's section for the kids to sit and listen. they had little benches and chairs for the kids to sit on. mason wanted to play with thomas. it took a little while to talk him into sitting there to listen to the story.

jonah didn't want to sit and listen either. he was a little more antsy than mason. it took a lot of coaxing from grandma to talk him into sitting there.

after the three stories and songs, the kids got to color pictures with crayons and chalk. their choice. mason and jonah chose chalk. of course.

mason tried to be careful with the chalks so he didn't get it all over his hands. within the first few minutes of touching the chalk, jonah was covered in several different chalk colors and he had chalk up his arms and all over the front of his shirt. mason kept looking at me and holding out his hands and at one point he said, "this chalk is all messy." complete opposite from jonah, who also had yellowish-greenish snot running down his face.

mason is holding a bunch of melted crayons in his hand.

jonah and the little blond boy kept arguing over the chalks. jonah kept saying all the colors were "his" (he kept using the word "mine") and the little boy kept repeating "uh-uh!" it was funny.

papa and grandma took the boys to crossroads village afterwards so i could go grocery shopping by myself. thank you, thank you!
