the park

Last Friday night, we met Joe, Paulette, and Haley at Pizza Hut for dinner, then headed to Indian Springs Metro Park to play for the night. The plan was to roller blade down the bike path and let the kids play at all the play things they had there as well. As soon as we pulled in and payed for our entrance, there was a sign that said the bike path was closed at the 1 mile marker due to construction. :( So, we still parked and roller bladed around the empty parking lot for a few minutes. Then the kids wanted to run and play.

First stop - the giant maze!



Cole and Haley raced through the maze. They each started on opposite ends and raced to see who could get out of it first.



They have a nice bridge above so you can watch.





Mason tried to keep up but he couldn't. :)



Haley won. After they raced a couple of times, I mentioned that Chris and Joe should race. They didn't want to but the kids and I bugged them enough about it that they gave in. Cole and Haley told them "On your mark, get set, go!" and they were off!









And the loser is.....

Next, the kids wanted to go climb the giant spider.









It started to rain on us after a while, so we moved the party to our house where we played Mexican Train. :)
